description

In the demanding world of CNC machining, tool performance dictates productivity. Our core product line focuses on Cermet (Metal-Ceramic) CNC Inserts – a next-generation composite material designed to replace traditional cemented carbide. Engineered for high-temperature stability and exceptional wear resistance, these inserts are the optimal solution for high-speed finishing and dry machining processes.
PCBN (polycrystalline cubic boron nitride) is a new type of superhard cutting material second only to diamond in hardness, possessing high hardness, high thermal stability, and high chemical stability. Currently, PCBN tools have unique advantages in "turning instead of grinding," ultra-high hardness heavy-duty cutting, and high-speed machining. They exhibit both strong wear resistance and high impact resistance, making them suitable for high-speed finishing as well as roughing and semi-finishing at low/medium speeds (relatively), and are widely used in cast iron, hard steel, and other high-hardness, difficult-to-machine materials.

Our engineering team has optimized four distinct material grades to match specific hardness and speed requirements. Selecting the correct grade is critical for maximizing tool life and efficiency.
Grade | Hardness (HRA) | Max Speed (TPRS) | Performance Characteristics & Applications |
S051 | 93.5 | 1500 | High Wear Resistance. Optimized for Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) . Delivers a significant increase in tool life under stable conditions. |
S151 | 92.5 | 1700 | Universal Grade. A balanced solution for general machining applications, offering a good mix of toughness and wear resistance. |
S551 (General) | 91.5 - 92.5 | 2100 | General Purpose. Ideal for universal machining scenarios where versatility is key. |
S351 | 89.5 - 90.5 | 2400 | High-Speed Specialist. Designed for ultra-high RPM applications. Perfect for finishing operations requiring maximum speed and surface quality. |

Unlike traditional carbide tools, our metal-ceramic composite materials offer distinct advantages for modern manufacturing:
● Superior Surface Finish (Ra): Achieve mirror-like finishes without secondary operations. The unique material composition minimizes built-up edge (BUE).
● Eco-Friendly Dry Cutting: Supports dry cutting and air-cooled machining. Eliminates the need for costly and environmentally harmful grinding fluids.
● Extreme Heat Resistance: Maintains structural integrity and hardness even at temperatures exceeding 800°C (1472°F), ensuring stability during high-speed milling.
● High-Speed & Safety: Enables higher RPMs (up to 2400 TPRS) with zero sparking, significantly improving machining efficiency and workshop safety.
Diverse Applications: Suitable for a wide range of tool types, including:
○Solid Saw Blades (Fine finishing)
○Woodworking Routers
○Gun Drills & Gun Drilling Machines (TP Series)
○Swiss-type (Swiss Machining) Tools
○Peeling Knives

● Low Cost: Reducing the cost of purchasing new machine tools. It allows for complex surfaces to be finished at once, which shortens the production cycle.
● High Quality: Improving the dimensional and geometrical tolerance with once-champing machining.
● Environmentally: Using PCBN cutting tools for dry cutting is environmentally friendly and promotes resource recycling.

PCBN inserts are suitable for machining hardened steel (HRC45 and above), graycast iron, alloy cast iron, ductile cast iron, and other ferrous metals, as well as other high-hardness and difficult-to-machining materials, meeting roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing needs.
